Note: This is still a Draft
Please note that this is still a draft, but the steps are accurate. The video I used in the example doesn’t have any problem so if you check out the logs, you won’t find any errors.
Enabling the Log
1. Select Settings
2. Select System
3. Select Logging
4. Enable debug logging
1. Press the home button on your remote to skip right out to the home menu
2. Select Power
3. Select Reboot
Reproduce the error
Everything you do after rebooting is recorded. Do what you need to do to reproduce the error.
In my example, I’m pretending that a video has a problem. If you’re having a problem with a video, skip to the part where the problem manifests. No need to play the whole video. Then you stop after you’ve shown the problem.
Uploading the Log
1. Go to My OSMC
2. Go to Log Uploader. This looks like a clipboard.
3. Select All Configs and Logs.
4. Select Upload Selected Logs Now.
6. Copy the URL
The screenshot below is what my example log looks like. But if you want the whole log you can check out my log here.
