Please note that this is still a draft, but the steps are accurate. The video I used in the example doesn’t have any problem so if you check out the logs, you won’t find any errors.

Enabling the Log

1. Select Settings

3. Select Logging

4. Enable debug logging

Reboot

1. Press the home button on your remote to skip right out to the home menu

2. Select Power

Head Back to Power on the Home Screen Menu and Choose Reboot

3. Select Reboot

Reproduce the error

Everything you do after rebooting is recorded. Do what you need to do to reproduce the error.

 In my example, I’m pretending that a video has a problem. If you’re having a problem with a video, skip to the part where the problem manifests. No need to play the whole video. Then you stop after you’ve shown the problem.

Uploading the Log

1. Go to My OSMC

Head Over to My OSMC Menu

2. Go to Log Uploader. This looks like a clipboard.

3. Select All Configs and Logs.

Choose Which Type of Log to Upload

4. Select Upload Selected Logs Now.

5. Wait.

6. Copy the URL
